Ward Connerly Speaks, Everyone Gets Pissed

This is one of my favorite photos from the semester. Last night, I shot at a Ward Connerly lecture about his opposition to affirmative action and his plan to not only pass a bill that would ban it in Nebraska, but all of the 50 states. The one thing I didn't know about him was that he himself is black. The bill for Nebraska was thrown out by the legislature last week, but Connerly kept insisting that it will one day pass.
Many of the students had thought out questions that really got people in the room thinking. Others simply wanted to attack Connerly. I myself didn't agree with what the man was saying and even felt that he was lying about parts of his speech, but I decided that rather than get angry over what was said, I would tell I story through photos.

Steve Harley is a Beast

These are from NUs basketball blunder on Wednesday. Sure, Harley hit two free throws with five seconds left to put the game in over time, but it seems the Huskers didn't want to play the extra 5:00. Mizzou took advantage of this and smoked us 86-78.
